Nipomo, CA
Nipomo ` derived from the Chumash word, meaning "foot of the hills."

Home to a population of 18,000 and growing, Nipomo is a vibrant community with a mixed, rural / suburban feel. Spotted with citrus and avocado orchards stretching west from the hills to the Mesa, where flower fields captivate road trippers along Hwy 1, and rolling dunes supply a stunning back drop to the world class golf communities of Trilogy at Monarch Dunes, Black Lake, and Cypress Ridge.

History

The historical Dana Adobe Museum & Cultural Center provides a window into Nipomo's rich ranching past and the event center hosts a variety of music and cultural events year- round. The Dana Adobe / "Casa de Dana" is one of the earliest adobe dwellings built in San Luis Obispo County and became the celebrated home of Sea Captain William Goodwin Dana, and his wife Maria Josefa Carrillo Dana, who in 1837 were granted the 37,888-acre Rancho Nipomo on which they built their home.

Community is Everything

Boasting a summer Mediterranean climate, Nipomo is centrally located ~ a 15-minute drive south to the city of Santa Maria or north to Arroyo Grande and the Five Cities, where you will find a diverse array of amenities from health care facilities, entertainment, shopping, the beach and wineries.
Nipomo has two business sections divided  by the 101 over-pass. Old Towne Nipomo lies east of Hwy 101 and across the freeway, on the west side is the newer section of the town center with grocery shopping, restaurants, Post Office, UPS and medical offices to name a few but not all of the amenities available.

Golf & Out Door Activities

For those who love the game, there are two golf course communities in Nipomo; Black Lake and Trilogy at Monarch Dunes and for those who love to walk in Nature, the Nipomo Botanical Garden is a great place to learn about the plant communities endemic to the Nipomo Mesa and Guadalupe / Nipomo Dunes via walking trails through established oak woodlands and garden areas.
Nipomo also has groomed horse trails and picturesque walking trails. The Nipomo recreational park is where social and music events are often held in the summer months and folks gather to picnic and barbeque.
The newly built skate park next to the local library has quickly become a favored area for those who enjoy skate boarding. Just west of Nipomo lies the stunning Oso Flaco Lake Natural Area, where visitors can hike a mile-long wheelchair accessible, boardwalk that takes you from the shore to a deck with sweeping views of the Pacific.

Real Estate

Patrick's Experience Made a Huge Difference!
Buying a home with Patrick Raymond was an absolute delight, I highly recommend Patrick for any of your real estate endeavors. I met Patrick simply by calling a number on a random real estate web page showing a property I was interested in purchasing. From that conversation on he successfully guided me, over the following four weeks, and now I type this review from the office in my new home. Patrick's experience shows clearly; he was able to prepare me for every step with realistic expectations and helped set achievable timelines. He remained continuously engaged with me, the seller's agent, the lender, the property management, the title company, and other parties like the home inspector. Patrick navigated through the sometimes rough waters and was able to help me overcome hurdles and obstacles that came up, especially in dealings with the lender. Due to Patrick's many years of experience, I knew exactly what was going on at each step of the way. Throughout the entire process Patrick maintained a steadfast, professional and always helpfully optimistic attitude. I wholeheartedly recommend Patrick Raymond; with him you can rest assured that your home purchase or sale is in the best of hands.
