A community aimed at enjoying an active lifestyle. Black Lake sits on 421 acres of lush rural countryside, on the Nipomo Mesa in the heart of California's Central Coast.
The 554 homes were built out over a 15-year span from 1985 through to 2000 by various builders, and range in size from 1374 through to 2145 sq. ft. and some with a 2.5 car garage. The condos range in size from 1000 to 1500 sq. feet.

Black Lake is not age restricted with the exception of the area known as The Legends, which is a 55+ age restricted.
A secluded resort that is centrally located, Black Lake is just a 6-mile drive north to Arroyo Grande and the Five Cities, and a 15-minute drive south to Santa Maria. Either direction will offer up a diverse array of amenities, medical offices & hospitals, shopping, dining, wineries, and entertainment and don't forget the beaches!

The 4000 sq, ft. Resort Center features a multi-purpose room used for catering to events, and a restaurant that offers relaxed dining, and provides catering.
During the summer months, there are weekly free music concerts featuring live bands for those who like to dance in the park or just kick back and listen.

Active Lifestyle

The 27 Hole Black Lake Golf Course, comprising three distinct nine-hole layouts, nestled among California oaks, and scenic coastal hills, offers playability with a laid-back atmosphere, on meticulously groomed fairways and greens. It offers up numerous course combinations and residents can choose from different instruction options for golfers of all skill levels. The 275 yard long driving range has over 30 different grass and artificial teeing areas. Residents can practice improving their scores on putting, chipping, and pitching greens. The fully stocked on-site Pro Shop has everything a golfer needs.

There are also plenty of other activities available such as; Biking & Hiking Clubs, Book Club, Bridge, Mah Jongh, Ping Pong, Tai Chi, Yoga and Olde Towne Quilters. Residents can enjoy a game of Tennis or Pickle Ball or lounge poolside with friends. The Black Lake Lions is very active and holds regular meetings at the Community Center and the Resort Center.

Black Lake is minutes from all amenities and just up the road from the Willows Restaurant, where you can enjoy casual indoor or patio dining and take out. The food is consistently delicious.

Black Lake has 5 HOA's with the location of the property determining which HOA, the property falls under. In all, the fees cover the care and maintenance of the beautiful park like common areas, walking and biking trails, pool and patio, Tennis Courts and Community Center and access to offsite RV parking.
